Kenai Peninsula river — a glassy run through timber

Spey School

The Program

Two-handed casting, taught right.

Instructor-led Spey casting and steelhead technique, taught on the Kenai. Three intensive sessions this October — small classes, deep pedigree, real rivers.

Led by Justin Miller of The Fly Shop in Redding, CA — and headlined this year by Dec Hogan, a pioneer of two-handed casting in North America — alongside Simon Gawesworth (RIO) and Marty Howard. The low student-to-teacher ratio (2:1) and plenty of engaging, on-the-water practice let every angler build real skill in a short time.

Each session runs 4 nights, 3 full days. Everything is all-inclusive once you reach Kenai: lodging, meals, instruction, guided fishing, and gear.
